귀의삼보하옵고 새해에도 불자님들의 처소마다 불은이 충만하시기를 기원드립니다.
21세기 미래불교교육을 지향하는 국제포교불교대학은 직지인심 견성성불 자각각타 각타원만하는 대한불교조계종의 종지를 봉대하고 일관성(adherence), 응집성(cohesion). 효율성(efficiency)이라는 교육적 가치를 구현하기 위해서 노력할 것입니다. 불조의 가르침을 근간으로 정진하되 시대와 함께 담론하면서 저 불멸의 연꽃 푼다리카와도 같은 학풍을 만들겠습니다.
저희 국제포교불교대학은 모든 학생들이 드넓은 우주법계에서 수처작주 하시는 주인공, 무의진인(無依真人) 되시기를 발원하며 언제나 교수와 학생이 동심일체가 되는 줄탁동시의 학풍을 구현하겠습니다. 그리하여 우리 국제포교사불교대학이 대승의 참된 이치를 체험하고 한국불교의 법륜을 세계에 전하는 견인차가 된다는 각오로 정진하겠습니다.

A Message from the Dean-Abbot
We take refuge in the Three Jewels (歸依三寶) and sincerely pray that, in the coming year, the Buddha’s compassion and wisdom may abundantly fill the homes and lives of all Buddhist practitioners.
The University for International Dharma Instruction, committed to future-oriented Buddhist education for the 21st century, upholds the fundamental tenets of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism: Directly Pointing to the Human Mind(直指人心), Seeing One’s True Nature and Attaining Buddhahood(見性成佛); Awakening Oneself and Awakening Others(自覺覺他); and Perfecting Enlightenment for Both Self and Others(覺他圓滿). Guided by these principles, we strive to realize the educational values of adherence, cohesion, and efficiency, while cultivating professionals equipped with the capacities required for international Dharma propagation.
Grounded in the teachings of the Buddhas and patriarchs (佛祖), and engaging in continual dialogue with the spirit of our times, we endeavor to establish an academic tradition as enduring and radiant as the puṇḍarīka(芬陀利華), the immortal lotus.
At the University for International Dharma Instruction, we earnestly aspire for all students to become protagonists of their own lives—masters wherever they stand within the vast universe and the Dharma realm (隨處作主), and true persons of non-reliance (無依真人). We are committed to fostering an academic atmosphere of jultak dongsi(啐啄同時), in which professors and students unite as one body and one mind (同心一體), advancing together through mutual encouragement and timely cooperation.
With this resolve, we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that our university becomes a vital driving force—one through which students may directly experience the true principles of Mahāyāna Buddhism ( ), and through which the Dharma 大乘佛法 wheel of Korean Buddhism is propagated throughout the world (法輪常轉).
